Craft Roulette Challenges - #184, #188, and #189

Geez Louise...it's been about 7 weeks since I posted a Craft Roulette Challenge.  I made a card 5 weeks ago, and never posted it.  Then I crammed two in, between last night and tonight.  SO you get THREE challenge cards in one post.   I actually haven't watched the video from tonight, but I did pop on long enough to get the parameters.

Find Craft Roulette on YouTube @CraftRoulette, subscribe to their channel, and play along when you can!  Every week is different and lots of fun!  Some weeks require a little more thought as to how you will meet the parameters - but that's good!  That's the point of a challenge, right?

So let's go oldest to newest and start with Challenge #184.  I had fun with this square card.  This one is 4 1/4" Square.  I'll mail it in a regular A2 size envelope, so I don't have to pay extra postage.

Episode #184 parameters, and how I met them:
  • Project:  Card for a Teacher - Teachers have birthdays too!
  • Colors:  Tartan - Tartan foil paper layer, die-cut moose out of center.
  • Element:  Autumn or Spring scene - patterned paper behind the cut-out moose is autumn scene.
  • Random: Wrap(s) - ribbon is wrapped around card front layer, and stapled down.

I love that moose die!  It's a decent size.  If you're wondering - yes, I did save the moose that got cut out of this Tartan Foil paper.  I'll (hopefully) use it on something else later on down the road.

Paper Measurements:
  • Copper Clay:  4 1/4" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Copper Clay:  4" x 4"
  • Tartan Foil Specialty Paper (Copper Clay): 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"
  • Copper Clay/Basic White: scraps to stamp/punch greeting
  • Basic White:  4" x 4", for inside of card
After I wrapped and stapled the ribbon around, I popped that whole layer up on the card base.

Finish off with some Solid Gems in Copper Clay.

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  greeting is from unknown retired Stampin' Up set
Ink:  Copper Clay
Paper: Copper Clay, Basic White, All About Autumn Designer Series paper, Tartan Foil
Other: Moose die (Woodland Silhouettes 2 from Taylored Expressions), Copper Clay 3/8" Textured ribbon, Double Oval punch, Solid Gems, mini stapler

Next, on to Craft Roulette Challenge #188 - which I just made and posted LAST NIGHT!  Since I'm a member of the FUNN Supporters, I get an extra 4 days to submit my card for the week.  That comes in handy more often than not!  I made this teeny tiny card and envelope for last week's challenge.

Episode #188 parameters, and how I met them:
  • Project:  Gift Card - my tiny card is the SIZE of a gift card
  • Colors:  Coffee Shop - brown and green...
  • Element:  Go Wild - bear die cut
  • Random: Add a number(s) - HB2U...I love that little stamp!

Funny how I used the moose die in my previous Craft Roulette card, and now I brought in the bear die for this one.  Those two actually are a set, from Taylored Expressions

Paper Measurements:
  • Shaded Spruce:  3 3/8" x 4 1/4", scored at 2 1/8
  • Basic White:  1 7/8" x 3 1/8", for inside of card
  • Shaded Spruce:  3 1/8" x 1 7/8", die cut the bear out FIRST, then emboss with Timber folder
  • Early Espresso:  scrap to die cut bear
  • Basic White/Gold Foil:  scraps to stamp/cut/layer tiny greeting
Glue the die-cut/embossed Shaded Spruce piece to the actual card front.  Then glue the brown die-cut bear in like a puzzle piece.

That teeny tiny greeting was the perfect size (and it had a number in it!!) for this teeny tiny card.  Finish off with some Champagne Rhinestones.

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  Bitty Birthday Wishes (My Favorite Things)
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper: Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso, Basic White, Gold Foil
Other: Bear die (Woodland Silhouettes 2 from Taylored Expressions), Timber embossing folder, Champagne Rhinestones

And finally, this week's challenge.  #189.  I cannot even remember when I got a challenge done, submitted it, AND posted it to my blog all in the same night.  I think the answer is never.  I think this is my 47th submission.  I shall celebrate tomorrow!

Truth is - I made TWO cards tonight.  This is called a Back Fold Card, and I got the idea from my friend over at Krusin' Through Ink, Sue Kruse.  I used some of my latest Unity Stamp Co goodies to put these together.

I made this picture bigger on purpose so that you can see all that beautiful ink blending on the leaves.  So pretty!!!

Episode #189 parameters, and how I met them:
  • Project:  Guest's Choice - Back Flip card
  • Colors:  Forest Colors - my forest has beautiful FALL colors now
  • Element:  Starts with "H" - the heart in the center of this leaf
  • Random: Postage stamp or mark - used my postage stamp punch on the greeting
I stamped the leaves on Very Vanilla Thick cardstock, using Gina K's Chocolate Truffle Amalgam ink.  I haven't used that ink in a long time, so I figured I'd drag it out.  I was originally going to color these leaves with alcohol markers...but then quickly realized that was more coloring than I wanted to do.

Instead, I opted to ink blend my favorite fall color pallette - Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze.  Colored the center heart in with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends markers.

Paper Measurements:
  • Early Espresso:  5 1/2" x 7 1/2", scored at 1", and then 4 1/4"
  • Basic White:  3" x 5 1/4"
  • Golden Autumn Whispers paper:  3" x 5 1/4", 3/4" x 5 1/4"
  • Very Vanilla Thick:  1/4 sheet or so to stamp/color/cut out leaf and punch greeting
Here's a picture of the card opened - that flap on the right side flips BACKWARDS to open the card.  The leaf is only glued onto that little strip, and is what keeps the card closed.  Sorry about the shadows...it was after midnight when I took this picture.  Almost 0130 now, so I'm not editing anything else.  :)

Finished off with some Neutrals Sequins in brown.

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  Thankful Leaf (Unity Stamp Co), greeting unknown retired Stampin' Up
Ink:  Early Espresso, Gina K Chocolate Truffle Amalgam, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla Thick, Golden Autumn Whispers paper (Sep 2023 Whit Kit/Unity Stamp Co)
Other: Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends, Clear Wink of Stella marker, Neutrals Sequins, Large Postage punch

Whew!!  Now I can go to bed.  Hope you enjoy my Craft Roulette Challenge cards!
