Craft Roulette Challenge #148 - a Purse card!

Just under the wire!  I ended up joining the Craft Roulette Patrons last week, which gives me an extra four days to make and post my challenge card.  And I still barely made it!  hahahaha!  This is my 17th submission...2 weeks in a row.  I'm on a roll!

Find Craft Roulette on YouTube @CraftRoulette and play along when you can!

Episode #148 parameters, and how I met them:
  • Project:  Purse card, and it stands up!
  • Colors:  3 Pops of Gold - three gold swirls
  • Element: Starts with "E" - embossing!  Embossed a triangle of the purse flap
  • Random: Frame - the embossed triangle is mounted to the purse flap, creating a frame

Paper Measurements:
  • Fresh Freesia:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4", 4 1/4", and 4 1/2" to make a tiny accordian fold, so the card stands up
  • Heart & Home DSP:  (2) 4" x  5 1/4"
  • Fresh Freesia:  3 1/2" x 3 1/2", scored diagonally
  • Fresh Freesia:  3 1/4" x 3 1/4", cut in half diagonally and then embossed with the Cane Weave folder
  • Basic White:  3 3/4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
  • Fresh Freesia and Basic White:  scraps to stamp/punch greeting pieces

My ribbon handle is hidden behind a matching layer of the DSP on the back of the purse.  Also hidden is the other half of the triangle purse flap.  Added magnets to keep it closed.

There is plenty of room inside this card to add a gift card or two, in a little envelope even.  Sweet!  Finished size is 4" x 5 1/2", so it fits in a medium envelope and is mailable.

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  Go To Greetings
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Gray Granite, Basic Black, Real Red
Other:  Cane Weave embossing folder, Gold Swirls, Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave ribbon, Double Oval punch

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!

Toni
