Hello Harvest Projects - cards and tags!

Happy Saturday-before-Halloween friends!

Thank you for popping on to my blog today.  Today's share is from Thursday's live video.  I featured the Hello Harvest bundle, and demonstrated some truly beautiful projects.   I just got this set last week, so I haven't had a chance to really play with it yet.

Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  I am streaming to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

The first project is a 5" x 5" Square card in Cajun Craze.  I love the Metallic & Shimmer paper as the background.  It comes in a 6" x 6" pack with Cajun Craze/Pumpkin Pie, Evening Evergreen/Gold, and Black/Silver.  So shimmery!!!

The whole Metallic shimmer/Cajun Craze layer is popped up on the card base.  Pumpkin Pie pumkin and the greeting are also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Paper Measurements:
  • Cajun Craze:  5" x 10", scored and folded at 4"
  • Soft Succulent:  4 3/4" x 4 3/4"
  • Metallic & Shimmer/Cajun Craze:  4 1/2" x 4 1/2"
  • Very Vanilla:  4 3/4" x 4 3/4" (for inside of card)
  • Cajun Craze/Pumpkin Pie/Early Espresso:  scraps to stamp/cut pumpkins and greeting

Finish with some Brushed Metallic Dots, and run the Clear Wink of Stella marker all over the pumpkins.

Stamps:  Hello Harvest Bundle
Ink:  Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Versamark
Paper:  Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Metallic & Shimmer specialty paper
Other: Gold embossing powder, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend markers, Clear Wink of Stella, Brushed Metallic Dots

Next up is a tag.  The base of the tag is two layers - Very Vanilla, and Abigail Rose Designer Series papers - cut with the Tailored Tags dies and glued together.  Then stamp/emboss a pumpkin in Copper on Very Vanilla.  Cut the top of the pumpkin off, so it's like a bowl.

Add various bits cut from the Forever Flourishing dies.  I used Copper and some lighter metallic foils.  Glue all those bits behind the pumpkin bowl, and then attach to the front of the tag with lots of Stampin' Dimensionals.

When I go to add the greeting, I'll put it right over top of that boo-boo spot in the middle of the pumpkin.

Paper measurements:
  • Very Vanilla:  2" x 4", cut with Tailored Tags die
  • Abigail Rose Designer series paper:  2" x 4", cut with same Tailored Tags die
  • Copper/other metallic foils:  scrap to cut out leaves/greenery with Forever Flourishing dies
  • Very Vanilla:  scrap to emboss/diecut pumpkin

Finish off with two different trims - Silver Threaded Twine and Very Vanilla Baker's Twine, and some Champagne rhinestones.

Stamps:  Hello Harvest bundle
Ink:  Versamark
Paper: Very Vanilla, Copper and other metallic Foil, Abigail Rose Designer series paper
Other:  Tailored Tag dies, Forever Flourishing dies, Copper embossing powder, Silver Threaded Twine, Basics Baker's Twine (Vanilla), Champagne Rhinestones

We move on to another tag.  This one is black/white/grey.  Finished size is 3" x 5 1/2", and that just happened to be from scraps that I had laying on my desk.  It's a good size tag.  I started out with a Basic Black base, and added a Basic Black layer that is embossed with the Brick & Mortar folder.  I love the tone-on-tone look.

Then I added a scrap of black/white paper from the Rustic Harvest designer series paper pack.  I ripped all the edges.  Ripped a piece of Gray Granite to go along with it, and crumpled that piece up.

I love the Basic White pumpkin!  I embossed the pumpkin bits with the Gingham folder.  I really like mixing different textures on one project.  Add a metallic leaf from the tag before this one, and pop up the greeting.

Paper measurements:
  • Basic Black:  3" x 5 1/2"
  • Basic Black:  2 3/4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Brick and Mortar folder
  • Gray Granite:  2" x 3 1/2"ish scrap, crumpled and semi-flattened out
  • Rustic Harvest Designer Series paper:  rip out about a 2" x 3" piece
  • Basic White:  1/4 sheet to die cut pumpkin bits and greeting
  • Basic Black:  scraps to die cue pumpkin stem and leaves
Finish off with some Classic Matte Dots in White, and two different ribbons - Black & White Gingham and Black Baker's Twine

Stamps:  Harvest Hello bundle
Ink:  Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper:  Basic Black, Basic White, Gray Granite, Rustic Harvest Designer Series paper
Other:  Brick & Mortar embossing folder, Gingham embossing folder, Classic Matte dots, Black & White Gingham ribbon, Basics Baker's Twine (Black)

Last project is a card with a Merry Merlot base.  I added a strip of Rustic Harvest designer series papers, and then a layer of Merry Merlot that I cut with the Basic Borders die (to get that fancy edge), then I embossed it with the Falling Leaves folder.  Gorgeous leaves in that background!

Stamp another "pumpkin bowl" and build a flower arrangement using leaves.  Stamp leaves all in tone-on-tone (Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Merry Merlot ink on Merry Merlot cardstock, etc), and cut them out to build our arrangement.  Stick in some metallic leaf bits from the other projects.

Paper measurements:
  • Merry Merlot:  4 1/4” x 7 1/4”, scored and folded at 5 1/2”
  • Merry Merlot: 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", cut edge with Border Basics dies, then embossed with Falling Leaves folder
  • Basic White:  4” x 5 1/4”, for inside of card
  • Cajun Craze/Pumpkin Pie/Merry Merlot/Mossy Meadow/Crushed Curry:  scraps to stamp/die cut leaves, pumpkin and greeting

Finished off with some more Champagne Rhinestones - they're so versatile!

Stamps:  Hello Harvest bundle
Ink:  Merry Merlot, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper:  Merry Merlot, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Rustic Harvest Designer Series paper, foils
