Sue's Gift Card holder Shopping Bag card

Two posts in one day???  Today was a good day!  I watched Sue's video from Friday night, when she showed us how to make this cute card with a teeny tiny little shopping bag inside.  The little shopping bag holds a gift card!  Find her video on Facebook here!  She's got all the assembly instructions.

I wasn't sure how mine was going to go, so I used some retired papers.  Good thing I did, because I messed up my first "shopping bag" and had to start over.  It happens to everyone!

Paper Measurements:
  • Night of Navy:  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 1/4", and 7 3/4"
  • Hand-Penned Petals designer series paper (to make the little shopping bag):  4" x 9 1/2"  (watch Sue's video for scoring and assembly, please).
  • Hand-Penned Petals designer series paper:  2" x 4" (2 pcs, one for front and one for inside)
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Petal Pink:  3" x 4", cut with Stitched Greenery die
  • Basic White:  1/2 a sheet to die cut layers and stamp/cut flower bunch

Here's the inside, open to show my little shopping bag.  So cute!!!!

More details - I stamped the greeting half at a time.  Ink and stamp "happy", clean the stamp, then repeat with "birthday", so I could stamp the words separately.  Otherwise, the greeting would not have fit on the little piece I had to stamp on.

I used a set of magnets to keep this card closed.  One is attached to the fancy die-cut layer, and then the stamped greeting layer went right on top of that with plenty of foam tape.

The partner magnet is underneath the Petal Pink here on the front of the card.  These magnets are really affordable, and a good way to keep a card like this closed.  Link to the ones I use is in the supplies list below.

So many possibilities for these little bags inside a card!

Finish off with a bunch of Iridescent Rhinestones.
