Craft Roulette #99 Challenge - Robots!

I think this is my 12th submission for the weekly Craft Roulette Challenge.  That's two weeks in a row for me!  Mary Gunn Funn is live on YouTube every Friday night, so find her over there.  It's a great show, and the card parameters are determined by the spin of a wheel.  It's always FUNN to watch

When the wheel landed on Robots, I was thrilled!  I've had this stamp in my stash for a few years, and this was the perfect opportunity to put it to good use!

This week's parameters were:
  • Project:  4 1/4" Square.  I made a 4 1/4" square card AND an envelope (measurements for the envelope will be provided below)
  • Colors:  Pink + 1, and 3 pops of red.  Rhinestones were my pop.  Red was my +1.
  • Element: Robot!  duh...
  • Random: Ticket(s).  Added some Valentine tickets.

Paper measurements:
  • Blushing Bride:  4 1/4" x 8 1/2".  Scored in half at 4 1/4"
  • Melon Mambo:  4 1/8" x 4 1/8", embossed with Bouquet of Love folder
  • Basic White: 4" x 4" (for inside of the card)
  • Real Red: 3 5/8" x 3 5/8"
  • Sweet Talke designer series paper: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", stamped hearts background all over
  • Real Red: 2 5/8" x 3 1/8"
  • Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3", stamp robots on
  • Basic White: scraps to stamp/punch tickets

The card itself is very straight-forward.  Robots are stamped in black, and colored with Stampin' Blends.  Added some Clear Wink of Stella to the robot guy.

Hearts layer is a background stamped.  Stamp in Blushing Bride, directly to the Blushing Bride marbled pattern paper.

Blushing Bride card layer is embossed, then glued straight on to the card base.

To make the perfect size envelope for a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card, you'll need an Envelope Punch Board.  If you already have one of these, look through all of the measurements...they have something for 4" x 4" cards, and 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"...nothing for 4 1/4" square.  SO, I had to do some math and guesstimating.  I wanted the cardstock in between both of those, and the scoring in between.  This was my first try, and it's a perfect fit!

Cardstock for envelope:  7 1/4" x 7 1/4".   Score at 3 5/8".  That's your only measured score line.  Continue turning and scoring as you normally would using the Envelope Punch Board, following that initial score mark.  Sweet, right?!

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  Robot Friends (Stampendous), That's the Ticket, Bursting with Love (Hero Arts)
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Real Red, Midnight (Catherine Pooler)
Paper: Blushing Bride, Real Red, Basic White, Sweet Talk Designer series paper
Other:  Bouquet of Love Hybrid folder, Ticket Duo punch, stapler, Metallic pearls (silver), Red Rhinestones, Stampin' Blends (Smoky Slate), Silver paint pen
