November 2021 Virtual Workshop - Wreaths Across America Fundraiser!

I hope you're having a great weekend!  Friday night, I aired my November 2021 Workshop Live on Facebook.  The projects for this workshop are focused on "Step" cards.  Center Step and Side Step cards.  Click on each to go to the tutorials that I like on splitcoaststamers.  Why reinvent the wheel, right?

The BEST part of my November Workshop is that I am once again running a fundraiser for the Wreaths Across America!  I will be donating 25% of all sales (before tax/shipping), using the November Hostess Code, to the Wreaths Across America on 11/30/2021!

I've also signed up as an OFFICIAL fundraising group with Wreaths Across America!!!  This year, you can help my fundraiser by one of two ways:

    1.  Make Stampin' Up purchases using the November Code (G4TXGM29).  I am donating 25% of these sales to Wreaths Across America.

    2.  Make a direct donation to Wreaths Across America via my official "ToniStamps Wreaths Fundraiser" group link -  http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/MD0520

Click on my Workshop of the Month page for full details of how to sponsor some wreaths!

Just a reminder that as of now, I go Live every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  It's just a matter of where I will be - ideally on my Facebook Page, but may be on my YouTube channel.  Facebook has been giving me such a hard time with the Live videos lately, but they are my first choice..

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

I started off making the Center Step cards.  Again, you can find the tutorial on splitcoaststampers HERE. I made the Misty Moonlight Snowbody Better card first, and then the Crumb Cake Seasons of Fun card second.

I used the Penguin Playmates Designer Series papers for the Snowbody Better card.  On the 3 1/4"ish Scalloped circle, I stamped the trees in Misty Moonlight, added some sprinkles in Fresh Freesia and then ink blended Soft Seafoam all around the edges.

Here's a side view of the Center Step card -

For the second Center Step card, I used the Peaceful Prints Sale-a-Bration papers, with the Seasos of Fun stamp set.

Paper measurements for the Center Step cards:
  • Misty Moonlight/Crumb Cake: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  • Designer Series Paper: (4) 7/8" x 3"
  • Designer series paper: 7/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Designer series paper: 3 3/8" x 3 1/8" (for center panel)
  • Basic White: 3 3/8" x 4 1/8" (for back, to write on)

Everything is glued down flat, except for the focal images.  That's popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamps:  Snowbody Better, Nature's Beauty, Seasons of Fun
Ink:  Midnight (Catherine Pooler), Soft Seafoam, Misty Moonlight, Fresh Freesia
Paper:  Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Penguin Playmates and Peaceful Prints designer series papers
Other:  Layered Circles dies, Wink of Stella, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Markers (various colors)

Next, I demonstrated how to make the Side Step cards.  Very cool, and you can flip your base cardstock over to make the steps be on the left or the right!

The first card also used the Playful Penguins papers.  This time, I cut some of the critters out for the focal images.  Add some Opal Rounds at the end.

Here's a side view of that Side Step card -

Lastly, I made the second Side Step card and flipped the steps over to the other side.  I like it!  This time, I went with the Peaceful Prints designer series papers.  I really love the black and red together!

In the video, I briefly went over the "Paper Piecing" technique, for the little girl's coat.  You stamp the same image on different pieces of designer series paper, cut them out, and glue them on top of the image that you stamped on White cardstock.

When I had her coat figured out, I was going to hand-cut all around her, like I did on the Center step card - but I changed my mind.  I decided to do a partial-circle die cut - so it kind of reminds you of a snow globe...just something different. I like how it turned out.

I didn't add much of anything to the "steps" on this one, but you could certainly add some trees or something.

Paper measurements for the Side Step cards:
  • Just Jade/Basic Black: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  • Designer Series Paper: 2 7/8" x 1 3/4"
  • Soft Seafoam/Real Red: 2 7/8" x 1"
  • Designer series paper: 7/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Designer series paper: 2 3/8" x 4"
  • Basic White: 2 3/8" x 4 1/16" (for back, to write on)
Stamps:  Snowbody Better, Seasons of Fun
Ink:  Just Jade, Midnight (Catherine Pooler)
Paper:  Just Jade, Soft Seafoam, Basic Black, Real Red, Basic White, Penguin Playmates and Peaceful Prints designer series papers
Other:  Layered Circles dies, Wink of Stella, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stampin' Markers (various colors), Opal Rounds, Red Rhinestones

I hope you can see how these Step Cards can easily transition to any theme - birthdays, graduation, Halloween, flowers...anything.  Have fun with these cards!

Most importantly - please don't forget about my Wreaths Across America Fundraiser!   Click on my Workshop of the Month page for full details of how to sponsor some wreaths!
