More Eden's Garden projects and caseing my own October Workshop!

Wow!  It's been a looooong week!  We've had Stampin' Up's On Stage Virtual Convention this week - it started Thursday night for a few hours, and then all day yesterday and today (Saturday!).   YES - it's still going on, and I'm editing last night's video and making this blog post.  There just isn't enough time in the day.  :)

For last night's video, I decided that I would show you some more projects using Eden's Garden.  The three products that I bought from this suite are While Supplies Last ONLY - they are NOT in the upcoming January-June 2022 catalog.  Those products are Ever Eden Designer Series paper, Ever Eden Cotton Paper, and the Garden Gems.

I also decided that I would CASE (Copy and Stamp Everything/Exactly) some of the cards from my own October Workshop.  I want to drive the point home - you don't have to come up with something NEW every time you sit down to make something.  If you've got a great card design - don't reinvent the wheel.  Change up the colors, or papers, or stamps - and it's got a whole new look.

Just a reminder that as of now, I normally go Live every Thursday at 8:00pm ET.  It's just a matter of where I will be - ideally on my Facebook Page, but may be on my YouTube channel.  Facebook has been giving me such a hard time with the Live videos lately, but they are my first choice.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

My first project was a sweet Hello card, using the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.  I hand-cut the white shape to fit inside the gold foil shape, and stamped hello in Soft Succulent.  The greeting is the only bit that is popped up.  Everything else is glued down flat.

Notice the background is embossed with the Parisian Flourish embossing folder - I really love that one!

I finished off with some Garden Gems.  In the video, I colored some of the circle/berries with the Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends markers.

Paper measurements:
  • Soft Succulent: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Soft Succulent: 4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Parisian Flourish folder
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Basic White: Scrap to stamp greeting
  • Ever Eden Designer Series Paper:  4" x 4"

Now let's look at the original card from my October workshop that I was CASEing for this card.  On the original (card on the right), I went with a plain layer of Soft Suede.  I changed that to an embossed layer for my hello card.  Overall design is the same though.

Stamps:  Biggest Wish
Ink:  Soft Succulent
Paper:  Soft Succulent, Basic White, Ever Eden designer series paper
Other:  Parisian Flourish embossing folder, Expression in Ink Ephemera Pack, Garden Gems, Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends markers.

Next up is a greenery birthday card.  I love the different looks that you can get from the foliage in this Christmas Season bundle.  I gold-embossed some of the smaller leaves, and die-cut them all.

I stamped the greeting in two different colors.  "happy" is darker in Evening Evergreen, and "BIRTHDAY" is in Soft Succulent.

Notice that I stamped off once, with Crumb Cake ink - that ties in the gold, without being gold.

In the video, I show a really cool way to ruffle that Cotton Paper - see it peeking out on the sides of the greeting panel?  Very cool, and a great way to use that Cotton Paper (it's like sturdier tissue paper).

Paper measurements:
  • Soft Succulent:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Ever Eden Designer Series paper:  4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White:  4" x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Ever Eden Cotton Paper (Soft Succulent):  3 1/2" x 12"
  • Basic White:  3" x 4"
  • Basic White:  scraps to stamp/die cut leaves

Let's take a look at the card that I was CASEing.  Same layout, different bits and pieces and colors.  I even used the same stamp SETS, just different stamps from the Christmas Season bundle.

Stamps: Christmas Season Bundle, Biggest Wish
Ink:  Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Crumb Cake, Versamark
Paper:  Soft Succulent, Basic White, Ever Eden Designer series paper, Ever Eden Cotton Paper
Other:  Gilded Gems

My third project is a Tri-Fold card with a cut-out in the front panel - same exact base pieces as the card I'm CASEing.  I used the Layering Circles dies to get this cut out, with the largest Scallop, and then one of the circle shapes...to get that little bit peeking out.

Open that front panel, and you see the White layer.  I stamped the happy BIRTHDAY with the card CLOSD, so I could line it up within that cut out scallop/circle shape.  Then I went back and added the extra greenery.

Open that White panel, and then you get to the inside of the card.  I added just a teeny bit more of the greenery in the corner.  You could certainly tape a small envelope to that right side panel and add a gift card.

Paper measurements (YES, there are only 3 pieces of paper to make this card!):
  • Evening Evergreen: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4".
  • Basic White Thick:  5 1/4" x 8", scored and folded at 4".
  • Ever Eden Garden Designer Series paper:  4" x 5 1/4"

NOW - let's look at the original card that I case'd for this one.

Stamps:  Christmas Season bundle, Biggest Wish
Ink:  Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent
Paper:  Evening Evergreen, Basic White Thick, Eden's Garden Designer series paper
Other:  Layering Circles dies, Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack

I hope you enjoy these ideas for the Eden's Gardens products - get them while you can!
