Letter dies for Valentines

  

I had these die-cut letters left from some Valentine's that I made a few weeks ago.  They have foam-adhesive sheets under them, so the entire letter is popped up evenly.  I didn't want them to go to waste, so I turned them into a couple of more cards.   Colors are Real Red and Magenta Madness - I love this color combo!  

 

First up, let's talk about the white card.  It's a White card base, with an embossed white layer.  I absolutely love tone-on-tone cards.  It's really one of my favorite design choices in a card.

 

I don't know if they picture is really picking it up, but I embossed the white layer with the Scripty embossing folder.  I've never tried to read the words, but I like the looks of it.  I punched out another piece of white card stock with the Lovely Label punch, and then stuck the letters on that. 

Do a little swoopy-loopey with some Magenta Madness ribbon, and then attach our label/letter piece on top.  Finish with some Red Rhinestones.  Easy enough, but I love the results!

 

 

I had a second set of the letters, and I kind of wanted to go in a different direction.  I still ended up placing the letters in a square shape...but then I added some Basic Grey to the mix.

Start with a Real Red card base, and then emboss a layer of Basic Grey with the new Painted Texture embossing folder.  Add the letters to some layered squares of Basic Grey, Magenta Madness, and Real Red.

I finished this one with some old Real Red stitched grosgrain, and the Iridescent Pearls.  I thought the Iridescent Pearls went nicely with the Basic Grey.

I hope I've given you some more ideas for Valentine's.  You could easily spell different words - XOXO...BOO...LUV U....HB2U...MOM...DAD...MAMA...POPS...whatever you want to spell, really.
