Live Like Roo Card Drive

One of the guys that I'm in a few Facebook stamping groups with is doing a card drive, to support a charity - Live Like Roo.  It's for a non-profit organization, and the details are on his blog post here .

So, I decided to make and send in some cards.  I made 20 animal-themed "feel better" cards, and 20 thank yous.

The feel better cards all followed the same design - embossed background, tone-on-tone, with a animal stamped and colored in with markers, punched out with circle punches, greeting on the side.  Easy peasy!

I used a bunch of retired paper, and some Tim Holtz stamps that have not seen enough ink.  I did add Whisper White, or Very Vanilla, to the inside of each card so they can write in it.

For the Thank You cards, I used Thick Whisper White and Thick Very Vanilla.  These are no-layer cards.  Just stamping, but the Thick card stock is super sturdy.

I used the feathers from a Unity kit that I got recently, and the "Thank You" was a single stamp that I got from Unity also.  I think it was a freebie with an order.

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps: Mini Cats & Dogs and Bird Talk (Tim Holtz), thank you & We Can Rise (Unity Stamp Co)

Ink: Midnight (Catherine Pooler), Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Granny Apple Green, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight

Paper:  Pale Plum, Ballet Blue, Bordering Blue, Delightful Dijon, Basic Gray, Really Rust, Creamy Caramel, Basic Black, Whisper White (Thick and regular), Very Vanilla (Thick and regular)

Other:  2" and 2 1/4" circle punchs, Paw Print embossing folder, Bird Talk embossing folder, markers
