Bright spring flowers

I made this card for a swap, and I have to be honest - this is the first time that I used these particular flowers/stalks from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.  I didn't realize that they don't like up PERFECTLY - it's definitely abstract, but kept thinking I wasn't lining it up right.  When you turn the same stamp around 4 times - it's just not mean to line up, so I went for it.  I should have figured it out from the name of the stamp set, but sometimes it doesn't work out like that.

I don't know how well the photo shows, but I used the Tufted embossing folder on the Granny Apple Green layer.  Then for the Melon Mambo bit, I spritzed the card stock with water and then crumpled it up in my hand.  I did have to let them sit out to dry.  I did let them sit over night, but that's just because I had time.  I used Tombow liquid glue to glue that crumpled piece right to the front of my card.

I wanted to add some vellum, but not stamp on it.  I decided to cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies out with vellum.  I managed to rip one tiny spot on my vellum circle, so that's when I decided to stamp this greeting from the Beautiful Day stamp set, and make it a banner to TOTALLY cover up my ripped bit of vellum.

I've got Stampin' Dimensionals behind the vellum circle, and the greeting banner.  Finish off with some rhinestones.

I hope you are inspired to make your own Bright Spring card!
