Island Wedding scrapbook pages - Beautiful Beach

My favorite Godson got married almost two years ago, and I finally made my scrapbook yesterday.  I had 32 pictures, and I went with an 8" x 8" scrapbook page size.  I like this size page with only one 4" x 6" picture on each.  There is still plenty of room for some accent pieces, and a title, or room for journaling if you want.

Typically when I scrapbook, I decide on my page layout and I make ALL of the base pages the same.  In this case, my pages are Petal Pink, and then I stamped a series of shells and some texture stamp across the bottom.  The shell stamps that I used are kind of big, so they covered as much as I wanted.  My other two colors of card stock, for photo mounts and shells, are Whisper White and Sahara Sand.

After I get all of my base pages done, I mat and mount all of my photos.  Then I go back and add whatever accent pieces that I've decided on.  For this album, I stamped about 60 of the shells in Petal Pink and Sahara Sand...then I hand-cut them all and spritzed them with some gold shimmer spray that I had in my scrapbook tote. 

I wanted each page to have a few of the hand-cut shells, along with some other accent.  I made and used a few kinds of tags/flags/paper bits with stamping on them, three different kinds of ribbon, and rhinestones & white flat pearls.    I did alternate between the rhinestones and pearls.

I also had a lot of black and white photos to work with - I LOVE THEM mixed in with the color pics!  This is the last page of my scrapbook - my friend Stacy, De'Ron's momma.  I think it's such a great picture of her!

I hope you've enjoyed these few pages that I've shared from my scrapbook.  I haven't scrapbooked - as in, made finished pages and put pictures on them, and then put into an albm - in a LONG time.  I really enjoyed it!
