This is sometimes how my brain figures out what I want to make. All over the map, until I land on something I like. :)
For this card, I embossed a layer of Peekaboo Peach, and mounted to the Peekaboo Peach card base. I really LOVE a tone-on-tone card like this. I don't even know the name of the embossing folder. It's probably 15 years old, but I know it's not from Stampin' Up. Let's just call it "Birthday". :)
For the greeting circle, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" on a piece of Whisper White card stock, then figured out which size punch it would fit in (2 1/4" circle). Then I built out from there. 2 1/2" circle punch for the peach layer, then the largest size circle from the Stitched Shapes thinlits for the Lemon Lime Twist layer. Popped that whole bit up with dimensionals.
The balloons (dots and stripes) were made with the Playful Backgrounds stamp set. Those are all popped up with a double layer of dimensionals, so they are taller than the circles.
I hope you like it, and again - Happy Birthday to Mary!
