I changed up the measurements, but the idea is the same... I scored at 3", 6", and 9". Then turn the paper 1/4 of a turn, and score at 4" and 8". Cut along the solid lines in my rough draft pattern, then fold it up similar to the instructions above. The only difference is that you'll get 4 more pages. There are 12 pages in this book!
This is my ROUGH idea pattern to go by. I drew it on a piece of scrap paper.
I printed out my pictures wallet size, and then cut them down to 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in size. No embellishments inside the pages, because I wanted it to stay flat.
This picture shows it with the belly band off. After I scored, cut, and folded the designer pages to make the book, I taped on 3" x 4" "covers to the front and back. Then add a wide strip of designer paper to cover the "spine area".
Also notice that I made this book landscape, since that was the orientation of my pictures.
All in all, it's a great size photo book for wallet size photos. I didn't do any journaling or embellishing, but I was more concerned with the pictures anyway. I love how it turned out, and it's SO EASY!
