Hello Stampers! As expected, it's raining here in Maryland today, which is a good time to be inside...working on my blog. :) I'm sharing my cards from Thursday night, featuring the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar. This kit is on the Last Chance list at a discount. Get yours before they run out! Even at $99, it was a great value for all the product that is included. Now at a discount - even better deal! I barely scratched the surface of all the products in this kit, but I hope you like what I came up with. Note - even though this kit came out last fall in time for the holidays, it is NOT Christmas themed.
All of the greetings I've used come from the stamp set in the Advent Calendar kit. So many versatile greetings included!
Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET. I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.
If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube. If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.
First project combines the floral designer series paper from the Advent kit with the Country Woods papers. I like this "country" look. I used the square postage stamp die, baker's twine, and some of the die-cut ephemera pieces.
Paper Measurements:
- Misty Moonlight: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- 12 Days of Crafting Advent Kit DSP: 3 1/4" x 4"
- Country Woods DSP: 2" x 4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Basic White: scrap to die-cut postage stamps
- Crushed Curry: 1/2" x 4"
Finish off with some of the Gold sparkly bits, which are also in the kit! There is so much stuff in this Advent Calendar kit!
Stamps: 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar
Ink: Secret Sea
Paper: Misty Moonlight, Crushed Curry, Basic White, 12 Days of Crafting and Country Woods Designer Series Papers
Other: Baker's Twine and Gold Gems (both from the Advent Calendar)
Second card is a fun cupcake card. I wanted to use some of the little puffy stickers that come in the kit. I stamped the cupcakes, and then added the puffy sticker.
If you are not a fan of the ripped edges on the DSP, you could use a border punch or border die instead.
Paper Measurements:
- Flirty Flamingo: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: (2) 4" x 5 1/4"
- 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar DSP: 2 1/2"ish x 5 1/4" strip rip top and bottom edges
- Basic White: 2" x 5 1/4"
Stamps: 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar
Ink: Secret Sea, Misty Moonlight, Flirty Flamingo
Paper: Flirty Flamingo, Basic White, 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar DSP
Other: puffy stickers (Advent Kit also)
The third project features a tiny rainbow die from the kit. This is so fun! I die-cut two of them out of Misty Moonlight, and two out of Secret Sea. All of the rainbow arches come out of the die-cut. Glue the bases on the card front, then replace with the opposite color arches. How cool would this be with a white base and fun rainbow colors?!
Paper Measurements:
- Crushed Curry: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Crushed Curry: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", for inside of card
- Misty Moonlight & Secret Sea: scraps to die-cut rainbow scalloped squares
I colored the Misty Moonlight Baker's Twine (from the Advent kit) with a Daffofil Delight Stampin' Blend.
Stamps: 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar
Ink: Secret Sea
Paper: Crushed Curry, Misty Moonlight, Secret Sea, Basic White
Other: Low Profile Sparkle Dots (Secret Sea), Baker's Twine (from the Advent kit!)
My last project turned out so much nicer in real life, versus how it looked in my head. I love the bridal feel of this card, and I can totally see it done in other tone-on-tone schemes. The Crafting Advent Calendar products on this card are the Memories & More embossed card, gold foil label, some laser-cut die-cut pieces, and the little gold confetti flowers.
Paper Measurements:
- Basic White Thick: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", embossed with Lazy Daisy folder
- Basic White: 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Tied some Gold-Striped 3/8" Mesh ribbon around that top layer, and popped it all up with Dimensionals.
Stamps: 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Basic White (Thick and Regular)
Other: Lazy Daisy embossing folder, Gold embossing powder, Gold-Striped 3/8" Mesh ribbon, everything else came from the Advent kit
I hope you got a glimpse of the possibilities that this kit brings with it. There is SO MUCH in this kit, and I love that there are non-consumables too - stamps, dies, and stencils!
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
