Happy November 1st Crafty Friends! Today I'm sharing the Vertical Paper Bag Mini Album that I made with you live on Thursday night. This style of mini album is perfect for using gusseted bags as your pages. I used to be able to find colored treat bags at Michael's and Joann's, but they haven't had them for a long time. I did find some in a slight smaller size on Amazon, and they are linked in my Amazon Store at the end of this post. You could even use lunch bags!
I loved pairing the Floral Charms and Country Woods Designer Series papers together. I feel like the Country Woods papers are so neutral - they really go with any theme and other patterns.
Just a reminder that I am generally Live on-line every Thursday at 8:00pm ET. I stream to BOTH YouTube and Facebook simultaneously, but I recommend viewing on YouTube.
If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube. If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it.
The bags that I used were from a friend, Sharon LaC. They are 4 1/4" wide, and I cut them down to 6 1/4" tall. Finished size of this album is 4 1/2" x 6 3/4" x 1 1/4". Understand that if your bags are a different size, you'll need to adjust measurements.
This album has four pages - remember the base pages are the paper bags. Each page has a flip-in panel, a pocket on one side, and a tag in the bag (pocket) itself.
Since you really need to watch the video to learn how to put this book together, I'm going to give you all of the paper measurements, followed by some pictures. I did not do any decorating inside the album, because I do like to add my pictures and things first...so I know where to put stuff!
I think this mini album will hold at least 24 pictures, more if you add more tags to the page pockets.

Top view of the mini album, shows each bag "page" with tags inside.
Back of page 3 has the small pocket, and page 4 has it's small pocket on the front under that flip. I love these colors!
Back of the album. Again, you could also add a gusseted pocket to this inside back cover to hold more stuff.
Close up of the front cover. You can see (maybe) that I added several Brass Butterflies around and on the flowers.
Extra flowers that I stamped, die-cut and watercolored some for adding later. I watercolored on regular Basic White cardstock, using ink on a clear block and a water brush.
The fun part will be finding pictures of my friends to add to this little book!
Stamps: Gallery Blooms, Biggest Wishes
Ink: Timid Tiger, Berry Burst, Mossy Meadow, Onxy (Versafine)

I hope you are inspired to check out any paper bags that you might have in your stash and try to make a mini album. They're so fun to make! This style would be perfect for Christmas too.
Join me this Thursday for some creative fun with PLAIDS. We've got lots of plaid products and we can even make our own. I love plaids!
