Happy Thursday Friends! Today is Day 4 of my Growing in Unity Week. Today's card idea was inspired by a pair of my pants!
Don't forget about PRIZES! One of the cool things about being the GIU Gal for the week, is that I get to give out TWO $20 vouchers for Unity product! LEAVE A COMMENT on this blog post (include your name if Blogger won't sign you in. I have that problem myself on some blogs.), my Instagram posts this week (Instagram), or any of the Facebook posts that I made. I'll be sharing to several Facebook Groups. I'll collect all the comments, and make a post next week HERE on my blog to announce the winners.
Like I said, today's card was inspired by my pants. I love this little Itty Bitty stamp called, "How's It Rollin'?" It's easy to overlook the smaller stamps as a focal image for a card, but it works! It's big enough to stand on it's own, but I like this technique.
I would call this an Andy Warhol pop art style card. You have 3 or 4 same sized blocks of color, and stamp the same image in black. I think you could also emboss in white...whatever you like. A MISTI or Stamparatus is an absolute must for this technique because you want the images stamped exactly the same.
Paper Measurements:
- Basic Black: 8 1/2" x 6 1/2", scored at 3 1/4"
- Basic Black: 3" x 8 1/4"
- Basic White: 3" x 8 1/4", for inside
- Basic Black: 2 3/4" x 8"
- Balmy Blue/Daffodil Delight/Tangelo Twist: 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
- Basic Black: scraps to stamp/emboss/hand-cut/layer greeting
A little bit closer view, so you can see that the top layer is popped up. It's hard to see all that black-on-black - even in person!
Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted. Items may be retired.):
Stamps: How's It Rollin?
Ink: Versamark, Midnight (Catherine Pooler)
Paper: Basic Black, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Tangelo Twist
Other: Alabaster embossing powder (Brutus Monroe), Iridescent Rhinestones
I've only got ONE MORE DAY of my Growing in Unity week! Tune in tomorrow...
Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
