Happiness Abounds Wreath Tutorial - so pretty!

Two posts in one night!  I'm on a roll!  And....hubby is at my mom's house tonight, taking care of her, so I have a few extra hours to get stuff done tonight.  :)

If you didn't catch me live a few hours ago, you'll want to go back and watch this one.  I used the Happiness Abounds bundle to make this beautiful wreath!

If you are not able to catch me live, you can watch over on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

The grapevine wreath that I'm using (scroll down for link to order), is about 7.87" wide.  Keep in mind - if you have a larger wreath, you can use larger flowers.  Smaller wreath, smaller flowers.  Think proportionate.

I first started by wrapping a third of the wreath with about 1 1/2" strips of paper from the Hues of Happiness designer series paper pack.  I used (3) strips to cover the area that I wanted.  This paper gives you a good solid base to glue your flowers and leaves on.  Otherwise, it's too tricky trying to attaching things to a grapevine wreath.

Then you'll need flowers and leaves.  I stamped and die cut all of my flowers and leaves, and I give you a tip in the video about stamping/cutting multiples.  Use Press & Seal on the dies.  Watercolor them - or use whatever coloring method is your favorite.  Alcohol markers, watercolor pencils, regular colored pencils, crayons, paint them...do your thing!

Once you have a pile of flowers and leaves, start attaching flowers.  Start with your largest flowers first, and fill in with leaves and smaller flowers.

Pop some of them up higher with layers of Stampin' Dimensionals, and glue others down flat.  A mix of heights makes it more interesting.

Tuck extra punched out leaves in where they fit.

I colored over all of the flowers with the Clear Wink of Stella marker.

Add some ribbon - I tied mine in a bow.   Finish off with some Iridescent Rhinestones.  I started to glue them onto the wreath itself, but changed my mind.

I'm taking this wreath the work to hang up at my desk, but this gives you an idea of how it will hang.  I MIGHT add a little ribbon loop on the back.

This is a nice sized wreath to work with, and this was really a fun and easy project to pull together!
