Mailable Mini Album

This week, I brought you a FUN little mini scrapbook project!  This is a Mailable Mini Album, and I found it a few months ago posted by ReallyRobin.  I've had it saved on my "things to make" list for months, and Mother's Day presented the perfect opportunity for it.

My mom LOVES hydrangeas, and I bought the Hydrangea Hill suite with her mind.  I know she'll love these papers, and all of these purples!

Just a reminder that I go Live on my Facebook Page every Thursday at 11:00am ET.

If you are not able to catch me live, you can now watch it on YouTube.  If the picture does not appear below, you can click HERE to get to it on YouTube.

Let's get into this FUN project!  You'll need one sheet of 12" x 12" designer series paper for the base of the mini album.

You'll score, and then cut according to this diagram...the video will give you more instruction, if you need it.  How I have this laid out, is if you are looking at the INSIDE of the album.

Pay attention to the direction of you pattern on the designer series paper - if there is one.

Score across the TOP at 4", and 8".

Turn one turn to the left, and score at 3 1/2", and 8 1/2".

Then you'll cut and fold according to the diagram.

You'll need some pieces to put inside the album - one for the center, and then some to tuck into all of the pockets.  I'm adding mini pictures to some of my tuck-ins as well.  Once I find my mini paper clips, I'll clip the pictures in.

Paper measurements:
  • Hydrangea Hill DSP: 12" x 12"
  • Highland Heather Belly Band:  1 1/4" x 8 1/2"
  • White:  3 3/4" x 4 3/4" (for CENTER)
  • White:  3" x 4 1/2" (2 pieces, for the left and right side pockets)
  • White:  3" x 5", scored in half at 2 1/2" (2 pieces, for the top and bottom pockets)
  • Highland Heather:  3" x 3", die-cut with Layering Circles dies
  • White: scraps to die cut labels and teeny tags

Once you have all your bits and pieces inside, fold it up, and slide your belly band over.  I added a scalloped circle, with a 2 1/4" punch out from the left-over DSP.  Dolled it up with a flower punch, hand-cut from another piece of this Hydrangea Hill papers.

Finish with some Gorgeous Grape ribbon, and some Pastel Pearls.

I hope you are inspired to create a mini album like this, and mail it to someone!  You just need a few pictures - trim some down.  I used one of those Instamax instant polaroid-type cameras.  CUTE, but the film is a wee bit spendy.

Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted.  Items may be retired.):

Stamps:  Hydrangea Haven, Quiet Meadow, Batter Up (May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit)
Ink: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Old Olive
Paper: Highland Heather, White, Hydrangea Hill Designer series paper
Other:  Layering Circles dies, 2 1/4" circle punch, Gorgeous Grape 3/8" ribbon, Pastel Pearls

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!
