I stamped the Old World Map background on the Sahara Sand card stock, using Gray Granite ink. Then I went around all the edges and swiped the ink pad directly on the paper and made some smudges and smears also.
NOTE: When you are doing the direct-to-paper method with foam ink pads (as opposed to the older linen ones), be VERY CAREFUL not to poke holes or rip your ink pad. Card stock corners will rip your foam pads, and put divets in them. So, please, be careful.
The lighthouse is stamped, hand-cut, and popped up with some dimensionals. The greeting is from the Soft Sayings Card Kit. The great thing about the all-inclusive kits is that once you've made the cards, you still have the stamp set to use later.
I wanted to add a bit of ribbon, so I folded a piece of Gray Granite 1/2" Textured Weave ribbon, and stapled it to the back of my layered piece. Pop that whole bit up with more dimensionals.
Finished it off with a few dots that are either Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake - I couldn't really tell.
I hope you like it!
