I saw something similar on Pinterest (I think). I need to start making notes of where I find stuff. Anyway, the butterfly punch out shows the designer paper underneath.
To make the circle/butterfly piece, I punched out the Elegant Butterfly on Whisper White cardstock first. Then punched around that with the 2" circle punch.
Then make the border around it, but nothing in the middle...punch out 1 3/4" circle from Calypso Coral, then around THAT with the 2 1/2" circle punch. So you get a ring. There is just enough edge between the white butterfly punched out piece and the Calypso ring to attach with a teeny bit of liquid glue in a few spots. TEENY bit.
Add a little strip of designer papers, stamp your greeting, and attach everything with dimensionals so it pops up. I added a Large Rhinestone to the butterfly.
