Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes!

Who doesn't love cupcakes? I'm really happy that the new In Colors now come in markers too! The card is 4 1/4" square, so it still fits in a medium envelope and can be mailed with no extra postage.

Stamps: The More the Merrier (level 3 hostess set)

Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Brown, Soft Suede

Other: Pretty in Pink/Melon Mambo/Creamy Caramel/Soft Suede markers, Scallop edge punch, Small/Large/Scallop Oval punches, Stampin' dimensionals, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, embossing buddy

Christmas Boxes

My downline and I made these cute Christmas boxes, using the directions I previously posted. NOTE: I made a mistake with the directions, so I corrected them. See the next post down for directions.

Again, no stamping. We used the remnants of my Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit. We also decided to add some Jumbo Pewter eyelets, and ribbon for handles. I love it!!! Thanks again for that suggestion Michele! I think they all turned out great.

Bloggers Challenge - Christmas in July

This week's challenge was "Christmas in July", so I pulled out an old Simply Scrappin' Kit and made this box. My friend, Sue, gave me the idea and here are instructions...

Cut 12x12 cardstock down to 10"x12". Score at 2" and 8" on the 10" side (cardstock is situated as 'portrait'). Score at 5" and 7" on the 12 side (cardstock is situated as 'landscape'). Cut the two shortest score marks up to the line, and fold your box to assemble. I used Sticky Strip to attach it all together.

Top flap is 6x6. Score at 1" and then 3". Tape the 1" flap to the back of the box. I layered designer papers on white cardstock for the top flap, so it wouldn't be so plain, but would still remain sturdy. Kept it closed with a little piece of velcro.

NO STAMPING on this project!!! Can you believe it? Turned it out in like 5 minutes....and most of that was tying that bow.

Hot Cocoa Slider

We used the new color, Bermuda Bay, to make this hot cocoa slider. The ribbon holds it in place, and draws it up as you pull the ribbon.

Stamps: The More the Merrier

Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay

Other: Real Red/Only Orange/Bermuda Bay markers, Crop-o-dile, Real Red grosgrain ribbon, hot cocoa

Bright Blessings Bookmark

I didn't save the link to make this bookmark, but you can google "folded bookmark" and find some helpful directions.

I bought two of the Bright Blessings wheels, and used one to cut up into individual unmounted stamps. I love it!!!

Stamps: Bright Blessings jumbo wheel

Cardstock: Naturals Ivory, More Mustard designer series papers

Ink: More Mustard

Other: Scissors

Embrace Life

For this card, I embossed the flower on Shimmery White cardstock and cut it out. Then I spritzed that with water, and painted the flower with reinker and an aqua painter. I was trying the "Watercolored Roses" technique, but failed miserably. I'll keep trying...

Stamps: Embrace Life, Sincere Salutations

Cardstock: Shimmery White, Whisper White, Crushed Curry

Ink: Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Versamark

Other: Black embossing powder, Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon, Pop-Up Glue dot, heat tool, Embossing Buddy

Goin' to the Show!

Yippeeee!!! My 9-ball pool team won a spot in the tournament last month, which means we get to go to Las Vegas in August for the NATIONAL POOL TOURNAMENT!!! That's so awesome

This is our team after winning...

Front row: Jamie, Me, Sandy, Donna Back row: Mike, Theo

To honor our achievement, and scrap our memories, I made this mini scrapbook to look like a 9-ball. Just used cardstock and round coasters.

Punch holes with a Crop-o-dile, and hook together with a ring thing.

Stamps: Big Deal Numbers

Cardstock: Whisper White, Yoyo Yellow, Basic Black

Ink: Basic Black

Other: 1 1/2" circle punch, circle cutting system, glue stick, crop-o-dile

This picture shows it fanned out. One side of each coaster is yellow, and the back side is black.
