Fall table banner

Autumn is my FAVORITE season! I love the smells and the colors. I made this table top banner out of coasters...cover them with designer papers and cardstock, punch holes with the Crop-o-dile, tie together with grosgrain ribbon, and add some stamped images. Easy project! And I recently figured out that a plain old glue stick is the easiest way to adhere papers to the coasters.

Stamps: Autumn Fest, Big Deal Alphabet

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Apple Cider Designer Series papers

Ink: River Rock, Close to Cocoa, Wild Wasabi, Really Rust

Other: Crop-o-dile, River Rock double stitched grosgrain

Bloggers Challenge - Designer Series Paper

I'm so glad that we had this challenge. I've been using a LOT of the Designer Series Papers lately. For this week's challenge, I used a 4" x 6" piece of So Saffron DSPs to fold up into this cute shirt. Added some bling for a tie tack, and stuck it on my card front. Pattern/Tutorial for the shirt folding can be found on Cambria's blog here.

Stamps: Short & Sweet, Canvas Background

Cardstock: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla

Ink: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip

Other: Pretties Kit (for the Bling brad!), both sizes of Oval punches, Mini Glue Dots, bone folder.

Serene Sunflower notebook

I made this notebook for a friend yesterday. I got the notebook itself from the dollar bin at Michael's. It's a great color match for mustard, but would probably look wonderful with Apricot Appeal as well.
Stamps: DD Serene Sunflower

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Very Vanilla

Ink: More Mustard, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip

Other: Sticky Strip, sponge dauber

Bloggers Challenge - Inspired By...

This week's challenge is another "Inspired By..." challenge. We pick something - pattern in a piece of fabric, a color palette, a thing...anything laying around that inspires you. I love this snowman that my friend Paula gave me. I tried to recreate the look of him and his flannel in this card...I totally botched the hat, but he's still cute enough for a person!

Stamps: Frosty, Flannel Plaid Background

Cardstock: Basic Black, Naturals Ivory, and some random burgundy Bazzill

Ink: Basic Black, Bravo Burgundy, Brocade Blue, Handsome Hunter

Other: Aquapainter (I used the ink pads and aqua painter to color him in), dimensionals

NOEL decoration

I don't know why this picture is so tiny...but there it is. I covered some coasters with what I left from the Dashing designer papers. Stamped some letters and images, and attached all that. Punched holes with the Crop-o-dile, and tied together with ribbon. Very easy, and very cool looking.

Stamps: Big Deal Alphabet, Jolliest Time of the Year

CS: Real Red, River Rock, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Dashing Designer Series papers

Ink: Real Red, River Rock, Old Olive, Always Artichoke

Other: Markers, 1 3/8" and Scallop Circle punches, stampin' dimensionals, Crop-o-dile, glue stick (to attach papers to coasters), white gel pen (for Santa's beard and hat), Pretties Kit (bling brad on the tree!)

Weekend StampFest!

Whew! Look at all that stuff I came home with! I just got back from a long weekend in Minnesota. I've gone out there every fall for the past 6 years now. 5 girls, stamping all weekend, day and night until the wee hours of the morning! I think if I counted correctly, I came home with about 30 cards, 5 scrapbooks, some gift bags, a holiday planner, jumbo clothespin photo holder, and a great sized gift box. You'll be able to see this loot in person next week, at my Halloween Flip book class. I got tons of ideas and if I can just remember it all. It's a blur, really. I had such a good time, but I'm exhausted. :)

Wanted!...cute little card!

As I was thinking about cleaning up from my day of stamping on Saturday, I picked up this scrap of Outlaw papers and decided to make one more card. I actually rubbed the River Rock pad directly onto the striped piece of Outlaw papers to make it match the ribbon. It was too white before. I love how it turned out! The card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". I don't know why I'm digging this little card size, but I am. They need to make envelopes this size just for ME! :)

Stamps: Wanted, Short and Sweet

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Naturals Ivory, Outlaw Designer Series paper

Ink: Chocolate Chip, River Rock

Other: River Rock double stitched grosgrain, Pop-Up Glue dots, Ticket corner punch, Slit punch, 1/8" hole punch

Bloggers Challenge - Orange & Black

This week's bloggers challenge was to use Orange & Black. Now, we always think of Halloween, but you can use those colors for non-Halloween things too... I just got into these Cuttlebug embossing folders and used the Tiny Mosaic one here, because it matched this tiny strip of paper that I had left.

Stamps: True Friend, Short & Sweet

Cardstock: Only Orange, Basic Black, Creepy Crawly Designer Series papers

Ink: Only Orange, Basic Black

Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Neutrals button, mini glut dots, sponge dauber

World Card Making Day! Autumn Fest

Another Faux Matchbook card! This is my favorite card of the day, hands down! I added a button on the slit punch piece, and I really think it adds a nice touch to the card.

Stamps: Autumn Fest, Canvas Background, Short Sayings (love this set!!!)

Cardstock: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Naturals Ivory, Outlaw Designer Series papers

Ink: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip

Other: Slit punch, Earth Elements Buttons, Linen Thread, sponge dauber

World Card Making Day! Fun and Fast Christmas card

I love this style of card. It's a side fold match box sort of. Let's call it a "Faux Matchbook Card"! I did a terrible job coloring in with the Watercolor crayons, but that's just me...I really need to practice coloring. I'm so bad at it. :(

Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes, Print Pattern Background

Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Real Red, Watercolor paper, Dashing Designer Series papers

Ink: Basic Grey, Certainly Celery

Other: Watercolor Crayons, blender pen, Real Red eyelets, Red Gingham ribbon, 1/8" and 1/16" hole punches, Slit punch

World Card Making Day! Outlaw Box

Even though it's CARD making day, I just can't be confined in such a manner. I had to make things other than cards today. It's still paper crafting! :)

For this box, I just used 2 strips of the Outlaw Designer series papers. No stamping involved! Also added some Really Rust eyelets, and Natural hemp.

World Card Making Day! File Folder

I got started today by making this fun holder out of a Manilla folder. You can use this to hold 3x6 cards, or you can make some inserts with pictures, like a small scrapbook!

Stamps: True Friend

Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Really Rust (I chose these colors because they are the colors in the Apple Cider papers!), Apple Cider Designer Series papers

Ink: Close to Cocoa, River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Really Rust

Other: Ticket corner punch, Jumbo Antique Brass eyelets, Crop-o-dile, 1/4" hole punch, Twill Tape (it's really ribbon...not tape, but that's what they call it!), Sticky Strip, Pop-Up Glue Dots
