Mixed Bunch Butterfly

Love this shape of a card!  This was my attempt at making a butterfly out of the Mixed Bunch flower stamp.  Just cut off two of the petals, and you have a butterfly!

Stamps:  Mixed Bunch, Short & Sweet

Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Whisper White, Twitterpated designer series papers

Ink:  Island Indigo

Other:  Big Shot, Framelits Labels, Large & Scallop Oval punches, Blossom punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, Dazzling Details (that glittery business on the butterfly)

Blushing Bunny

Playing around with making shaped cards using the Framelist Labels collection.  I over-did it with the pearls on this card, but I just couldn't stop myself.

At least I made an envelope to hold it, so that should make up for the excessive pearl situation.  :)

I completely covered the egg with glitter.

Stamps:  Everybunny

Cardstock:  Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Twitterpated designer series papers

Ink:  Black, Blushing Bride

Other:  Big Shot, Framelits Labels,   Pearls (ALL sizes), Large & Scallop Oval punches, Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, Markers (Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride), 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

Bloggers Challenge - For the Birds

This week's Bloggers Challenge is "For the Birds"...so I combined this with an anniversary card for my husband.  Today is our 10th anniversary!

This card came together so easily with the Framelits Hearts dies.  I didn't bother to make an envelope.  Pop the birds and the greeting up with dimensionals.  Pearl eyeballs for the birds.  Pretty!

To make it an actual card, I cut 2 of the largest hearts, and made score marks across the top of the BACK heart, so that it can open.  Picture below...

Then just add Sticky Strip to the little bitty scored flaps that you now have.  You REALLY need Sticky Strip to hold this card together.  Mono-adhesive just isn't strong enough, unless you don't care if it falls apart.

Give it a try!

Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes

Cardstock:  Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade

Ink:  Poppy Parade

Other:  Big Shot, Framelits Hearts, Dots embossing folder, Poppy Parade twill ribbon, Bird Builder punch, 3-heart punch, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, Pearl basic accents

Birthday Cake Toppers

Not that great of a picture, but you get the idea.  I made these medallions, and sticky stripped/dimensionalled them onto cuticle sticks that I had (UNUSED!).  I made 3 blues, and 2 pinks to stick in a big sheet cake for all the March birthdays in our pool league tomorrow night.

I love how they turned out!  I printed the names on a sheet of Whisper White cardstock, cut out with a circle cutter, and added to the front of the medallions.

Medallions are 4" in diameter.

Ink:  Marina Mist, Rose Red

Other:  2 3/8" Scallop punch, circle cutter, Light Blue and Light Pink narrow organdy ribbon, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, cuticle sticks

Electric Guitar - out of punches!

I wanted to make a birthday card for a friend of mine, with a guitar (he's in a rock band)...of course, I don't have any guitar stamps, so I had to google for some ideas on how to make one.  Rachel Capps has the PERFECT idea - and she made a tutorial.  Check out her original posting here - scroll down to the guitar, and her wonderful tutorial.  Thanks Rachel!

Of course, I had to make a matching envelope.  Then I dolled up the envelope with his initial.

I die cut the letter out of retired silver shiny cardstock, but it was too boring - so I covered it completely with silver stickles that I had from a Christmas pack.  I just hope it dries by tomorrow!

Cheerful Treats gift bag

This is a great size gift bag.  Made from 2 sheets of 12x12 designer series paper.  Score 3" on each side, and the bottom.  Score the top 1 1/2" and fold down.  Attach on the sides.

No stamping!

Cardstock:  Cheerful Treats designer series paper

Other:  Pewter Jumbo eyelets, Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon, crop-o-dile, Sticky Strip

Fifth Avenue Floral - another stained glass

Using up my leftover cut cardstock from today.  Did a stained glass with the Rose from the Fifth Avenue set.  It's so soft and subtle, with the vellum.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Vellum cardstock

Ink:  Black Staz-on, Regal Rose

Other:  Pink Pirouette marker, Pink Pirouette 3/8" taffeta ribbon

Owl Post-It pad on a ring!

I think this was my favorite project from Stamp Club today.  I love that little owl, and I'm a note pad lover.  There is half of a Post-It note pad inside of this.  I punched a hole in the post-it pad too - with my Big Bite.  The ring goes through everything, so it won't fall apart.

NO STAMPING!

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Everyday Enchantment designer series papers

Other:  Owl punch, Ribbons - Early Espresso grosgrain, Twill tape, Luckly Limeade ruffled, 1" ring clip, post-it pad.

Envelope and matching note card - Diagonal Scoring plate!

I love how easy it is to make envelopes with the new Diagonal Scoring plate!  The paper for the envelope was 6x6.  The mini note card is 3 1/2" square.

Stamps:  Mixed Bunch

Cardstock:  Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Concord Crush, Whisper White, Cheerful Treats designer series paper

Ink:  Melon Mambo, Concord Crush

Other:  Blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, 1/8" hole punch, In Color printed brads (Lucky Limeade for the flower center), Stampin' Dimensionals, Simply Scored tool, Diagonal scoring plate

Fifth Avenue stained glass

This is the Stained Glass technique.  You stamp on the front of vellum cardstock with Black STaz-On.  Let it dry, then color in with markers on the BACK side of the vellum.  Layer it over a white card.

I have found NO good vellum tape that you can't see through the vellum, so I just always tie a piece of ribbon around, to hide the tape.

Stamps:  Fifth Avenue Floral

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Vellum cardstock

Ink:  Black Staz-on, Regal Rose

Other:  Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta ribbon, Markers (Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight)
