Medallion Box of Cards

I just love the Medallion stamp!  I had a class this past weekend using the Medallion stamp, and this is one of our projects.  A box to hold cards, plus 5 cards made in the same style, using all of the New In Colors.

The box uses an entire sheet of cardstock.  Hold your cardstock Portrait-style.  Score in from the left and ride sides at 1 1/4".  Score in from the top and bottom at 4 1/2".  I really advise using Sticky Strip or Scor-Tape to hold a box together - so much sturdier!
You might have a hard time seeing the pearls, but there is a medium sized pearl accent in the middle of each Medallion - on the cards and the box.
Stamps:  Medallion, Sincere Salutations, Afterthoughts

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade

Ink:  Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade

Other:  Top Note die, Big Shot, Large and Scallop Oval punches, Stampin' Dimensionals, Neutrals brads, 1/8" hole punch, White ribbon, Pearl Accents

Bats Galore!

I love the panel of bats in this Artistic Outpost set, Haunted Halloween!  And the little circle "Happy Halloween" is the perfect size to use with punches!

Stamps:  Haunted Halloween (Artistic Outpost)

Cardstock:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Glossy White

Ink:  Black, old kaleidacolor pad

Other:  Hand dyed ribbon from Artistic Outpost

Halloween Treat Box

I LOVE making treat boxes, especially for Halloween!  I used a whole sheet of cardstock for this little number.  Score it landscape at every 2 1/2".  You'll end up with a 1" side piece to attach it all together.  Score the bottom up 2 1/2" as well, and assemble.  It's just an open-topped box.

I made my own "background paper" here using the line of spider webs and "Happy Halloween".  I always like to do that at an angle, so it hides any imperfections.

I also wrapped some more hand-dyed ribbon around the middle of the box.  It's green, so it didn't take very well in the picture.  :(

Stamps:  Haunted Halloween (Artistic Outpost)

Cardstock:  Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink:  Black

Other:  Silver mini brads, hand dyed ribbon (Artistic Outpost), Stampin' Dimensionals, 1/16"hole punch, Sticky Strip

Happy Birthday Judy!

My mom's birthday is Sunday, but unfortunately we're going out of town tomorrow and will miss it.  :(  She loves hydrangeas, so I've been giving her a hydrangea birthday card for years.  Purple is her favorite color.  I had to go back to some old favorite colors for this.  I'm also still in love with Easel cards.  This one is 4 1/4" square.

Stamps:  Afterthoughts, Just Because I Care (both Level 1 hostess sets)

Cardstock:  Lavender Lace, Sage Shadow, Whisper White

Ink:  Lavender Lace, Sage Shadow, Black

Other:  Lavendar Lace & Sage Shadow markers, Square Rhinestones Cool, embossing buddy, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Sage Shadow grosgrain, Stampin' Dimensionals

We also made this little 3-D treat bag tonight.  It's only 1/2" thick, and there is a small cello bag with 8 Starburst candies inside.  It sits up...although not that great.  :)  Those candies are too lumpy.  Still a perfect little treat to give to a friend.

Ink Pad Pizza Box

Remember how to make the little pizza boxes? Here’s a link to the splitcoast tutorial in case you need a refresher.  Same idea here, different measurements.  I just made this to hold one of the new color ink pads. I’m going to give it to my friend/hostess on Friday night.  It’s totally based on the size of the ink pad.

Cut cardstock 6 ¼” x 9 ¾”.

Situate cardstock Portrait mode. Score in each side (left and right) ¾”.

Situate cardstock Landscape mode. Score at ¾”, 4 ½”, 5 ¼”, and 9”.

Fold up, cut tabs, and stick together with sticky strip like the other pizza boxes.

I just had that strip of Greenhouse Gala designer papers, so that’s where I went from for my colors. That’s a belly band, so it will slide off. Used Daffodil Delight as the base, and punched the rest.

“for you” is from Afterthoughts. The “Just” part wouldn’t fit.

Stamps:  Afterthoughts

Cardstock:  Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip (textured), Real Red, Whisper White, Greenhouse Gala designer series papers

Ink:  Pear Pizzazz

Other:  Chocolate Chip marker, Pear Pizzazz ribbon, Scallop circle punches (both sizes), 1 1/4 and 1 3/8" circle punches, Mini Glue Dots, Sticky Strip, 1/2" circle punch (for the tab so you can open it - punch this BEFORE you put it all together)
