April Flowers!

No, not showers...I've had enough rain. :) I made this for a Flowers challenge. It really does open at the top, like a purse. I used a magnetic snap to hold it shut. Fake purse flap is from Pink Pirouette designer series paper, run through Top Note die. I ran the white layer through the Texturz plate, then inked over the raised parts directly with my Pink Pirouette ink pad.

Stamps: Oval All (Occasions Mini), One of a Kind

Cardstock: Sage Shadow, Pink Pirouette (cs and dsps), Whisper White

Ink: Pink Pirouette

Other: Large and Scallop Oval punches, Stampin' Dimensionals, Texturz Plates, 3-flower punch (matches One of a Kind stamp set), Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Sage Shadow Grosgrain ribbon, 1/16" hole punch, Silver brads, Top Note Sizzix die

Bloggers Challenge - Color Combo

This week's challenge was a color combo - Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, and Sahara Sand. SURPRISINGLY, these are the colors from the To The Nines specialty papers that I've used here. I cheated a little bit, because I already had this card made from a swap. :)

Stamps: And Many Mower (from Occasions Mini)

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, To The Nines specialty papers

Ink: Basic Brown, Chocolate Chip

Other: Sage Shadow/Always Artichoke/Sahara Sand/Blush Blossom markers, 1/16" hole punch, gold brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

He's a Hero!

I'm really digging the 8 1/2" x 11" scrapbook pages turned landscape. It really changes it up for me. The picture is of my friend, Sam, being sworn in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Operator. He's the third one in from the left (or right...).

Stamps: Hero (Artistic Outpost)

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, Whisper White, designer paper (stripes)

Ink: Bordering Blue
