Desk Name plate!

I made an insert for an acrylic picture frame for my desk! I did crack the top of it a little bit, trying to pull it so I could get the cardstock in between. Oopsie!

Stamps: Well Worn Alphabet, Autumn Fest (retired)

Cardstock: Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla

Ink: Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red, Really Rust, More Mustard

Paper Piecing

I forgot to post this card from last week. I was showing some friends how to do the Paper Piecing technique. You just stamp the image on some patterned paper, and cut out certain pieces - the body here. You can stick on, or pop up with dimensionals. I colored the rest of him in with my marker.

Stamps: Zoofari, Sincere Salutations

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, pattern paper from Summer Days simply scrappin' kit

Ink: Basic Grey, Bashful Blue

Other: Silver mini brads, 1/16" hole punch

Bloggers Challenge - Color Combo

This week's challenge was REALLY a challenge. Colors to use were: Really Rust, Regal Rose, Sahara Sand, and Blue Bayou. My first challenge was to find some Blue Bayou! I finally found a small piece. Second challenge was getting through making this card...I really don't like these colors together! I tried to tone down the Regal Rose cardstock, but sponging some Sahara Sand ink on it...kind of yucky, but it's not so bright.

Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisleys

Cardstock: Really Rust, Regal Rose, Sahara Sand, Blue Bayou

Ink: Really Rust, Regal Rose, Sahara Sand

Other: Crafter's Tool Kit, sponge dauber

Coloring Blocking Birthday card

I used the color blocking technique for this standard size card. I was in a colonial color mood for this one.

Stamps: It's Your Birthday (retiring soon!), Spring Solitude hostess bundle

Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Whisper White

Ink: Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red

Mini thank you

3" square card. I'm going to miss this Spring Solitude set...

Stamps: Spring Solitude (hostess Level 2 bundle)

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Bashful Blue, Basic Black

Other: Bashful Blue and Black Gingham ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thank you mini card

Used up a weird size piece of cardstock for this one. End product is 3 1/2" x 4 1/4", I think. Direct to paper with the orange.

Stamps: Sincere Salutations

Cardstock: Only Orange, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Ink: Only Orange, Chocolate Chip

Other: 5-petal punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Slit punch, 1/8" hole punch, Chocolate Chip polytwill ribbon, Fire Circle brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

Moose Mini card

I'm loving these small square cards! This one is 4 1/4" square. I used a blender pen and the River Rock pad to color in the antlers here, since I don't have a River Rock marker.

Stamps: Moose (from Judith Stamps), Fun & Fast Notes

Cardstock: Basic Black, River Rock, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Grey, River Rock

Other: Creamy Caramel marker, River Rock double-stitched grosgrain

Baby gift card

Did this little baby gift card using Fun & Fast Notes. Colored in the carriage with marker. Card is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes

Cardstock: Bashful Blue textured & polka dots paper from Summer Days Simply Scrappin' Kit, Whisper White, Bashful Blue

Ink: Basic Grey

Other: Bashful Blue marker, Word Window punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Fun & Fast Notes

I had some fun playing with Fun & Fast Notes. These are all 4 1/4" square cards. I was practicing mixing reinkers with Crystal Effects and painting it on with toothpicks. Decided it wasn't enough of a WOW factor to make it worth the trouble. It's cool, but not cool enough. I do, however, love this technique done on transparencies (window sheets).
Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes
Cardstock: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Yoyo Yellow, Pink Passion, Only Orange, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Grey
Other: reinkers (various colors), Crystal Effects, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Gold mini brads, 1/16" hole punch

Cocktails Anyone?

My friend Lori and I used these cute stamps that Mary Jo Price-Williams sent me, to make some adorable cards.

Cardstock: Basic Black, Night of Navy, Whisper White, red designer paper (retired)

Ink: Basic Grey, Real Red, various markers to color drinks

Bloggers Challenge - Bugs & Insects

This week's challenge was to make something with bugs or insects...I discovered that I have ZERO stamps with bugs or insects, so I had to make one. I used circle punches to make this lady bug. The card is a mini note card...4 1/4" square, I think.

Stamps: Sincere Salutations

Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black, some striped paper from an old Simply Scrappin' kit

Ink: Basic Black

Other: 1 3/8" and 1" circle punches, pencil eraser (to make the dots), Stampin' Dimensionals
