Swipes and Butterflies

This idea was just shared on a demo group by Brittany Hart.  Thanks for sharing your brilliance!  I modified it a little bit, but it's the same basic idea -

  • Emboss your entire card front with Brick Wall embossing folder.
  • Stamp "big swipe" from Work of Art in 3 different colors.
  • Cut out butterfly with your Thinlits, and glue to the card front.
  • Stamp your greeting.

I used the same two stamp sets for all of these cards.  Only thing different is the ink colors.  I had to add a little stripe of silver to the one, because I had an oopsie - the embossing folder didn't make it all the way over to the fold line and that bothered me.

Stampin' Up supplies that you'll need to create these:

Stamps:  Work of Art, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Tuxedo Black (stamped off for the middle swipe on that card), Smoky Slate, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum
Paper:  Thick White cardstock (even for the butterflies), Silver foil (teeny tiny strip)
Other:  Big Shot, Brick Wall embossing folder, Butterflies Thinlits, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

What color combination will you try?

Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping!

Toni
